As a public service organization, the Bloomington-Normal Alumnae chapter members are dedicated to volunteering in the community that we serve.  Since its beginning, our members have been actively involved in various programs to aid in Economic Development throughout the community.

Over the years our volunteer efforts and activities have included:

  • Cultural Fest – Children’s Village
  • Adopt-A-Highway
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Juneteenth – food distribution
  • Adopt-A-Family
  • BANSAGO (Bloomington and Normal Service and Greek Organizations) – An annual Thanksgiving and Christmas food basket donation and distribution

Currently, our chapter is exploring effective ways to implement Financial Fortitude, a National Economic Development Program Initiative, in the Bloomington-Normal community.  Financial Fortitude is a process that will help program participants set and define financial goals, develop a plan to achieve them, and to put the plan into action.  This process will serve as a blueprint to address all aspects of personal finances.
